I am so distressed over this last feeBay hike and am not sure what to do about it.
I used to do all my listings as auctions only and converted to stores when feeBay did their auction price hike. It was great! I did not have high expenses unless I sold something so I was able to list a lot and the sales were adequate for my needs.
But now, if I increase my selling prices to compensate the increases I am afraid I won’t sell much and of course the listing fees and FVF fees will take a bigger bite from what I list so they will get most of my sales.
I don’t make alot of money on feebay, but now I’m going to be making even less. I only do this to supplement my fixed income and the sales have been a steady source and great bonus.
Its not like I can go out and get a job, I am home bound and very limited on what I can do. This is very distressing and I know it is going to impact alot of people.

I agree that this recent fee hike is appalling. So many small business owners and stay-at-home parents will lose a nice chunk of income because of greedBay. We need to raise a fuss and a holler, and remind eBay who pays their bills…their loyal auctioneers and storefront owners. That’s why I’ve decided to sponsor eBayFeeHike.com by linking to them from the word “ebay” on http://www.500wordpage.com. Check it out for yourself.

Like most of you I’ve seen a lot of people troubled over this new move by eBay. For those of you that are considering alternative websites as a strategy for your shops, you may want to look at http://www.swapace.com. I’ve used it a bit myself and it seems pretty good. Not sure if this will help all of you, but I hope it helps at least some (it’s a free service so it’s worth trying at any rate)
